We are an independent, private, non-profit think tank founded in 1965 at the initiative of Altiero Spinelli. We promote knowledge of international politics and contribute to the advancement of European integration and multilateral cooperation.

IAI is part of a broad network of research institutes and think tanks specializing in international relations. We interact and collaborate with governments, public administrations, European and international institutions, universities, leading national economic actors, the media, and the most authoritative international think tanks.
